UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Business First of Columbus:

The Charlotte-based company has worked on several university including the Barnhardt StudentActivity Center, Irwin Belk Track and Fielcd Center, Lynch Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Research Center. Rodgers Builders also is the construction manager onthe university’xs new, $50.4 million Center City Building project that is slatedr to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in April forthe 12-story, classrook building at the corner of Ninth and Brevard streets in uptowjn Charlotte.
“What sets Pat apart from most is her she remains personally invested in the institutions and organizationss she touches long after her formaol involvementhas ended,” says Philip Dubois, UNC Charlotte chancellor. “Hed commitment to the betterment of our community extends to herbusinesx philosophy. In fact, Rodgers Builders has been hailed time and againh as the epitomeof civic-minded business.” Rodgers is also chai of the Charlotte Symphony board and will assumw the chairmanship of the Charlotte Chamber boards in 2011. The university established the Distinguishexd Service Awardin 1987.
It honors individuals who have providesd outstanding leadership and service to the Charlotte community and to the advancemenf ofUNC Charlotte. Rodgerse was honored Tuesday during a luncheon at the UNC Charlotte isthe fourth-largest campuxs among the 17 institutions of the UNC system. It is the largesg institution of higher education in theCharlottr region, offering doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s programs. Fall 2008 enrollment was 23,300, including nearly 5,000 graduatwe students.
